Sion is a filmmaker from South Wales who has directed numerous award-winning shorts including the BAFTA CYMRU winning, and BIFA long-listed MAULED BY A DOG, which premiered at Fantastic Fest, FACE DOWN IN THE BACK OF A CAR and DIRT ASH MEAT for the BBC.
His debut feature PIG EYES, a weirdo coming of age film set in the South Wales Valleys, is being produced by PULSE FILMS (American Honey / The Witch) and is supported by the FILM FOUR, BFI and FFILM CYMRU.
His second feature MAULED BY A DOG, an absurd dreamlike revenge film, is being developed by BBC FILMS and was a part of the UK NEXT WAVE GENRE LAB (BFI, FILM CONSTELLATION).
For TV, Sion is developing John Burnside’s novel THE GLISTER for the BBC, which is being produced by CLERKENWELL FILMS.
Sion is a founding member of SCYMRU, a collective of filmmakers dedicated to telling only honest lies about Wales.
